When we first set out to create Imaginus, we envisioned a game where there were no borders to entry, no limits, no buy-in.
Imaginus will be built using the robust Unity3D engine, which has been specifically chosen for its mobile capabilities and cross-platform support. This allows players to access and enjoy the game seamlessly on a wide range of devices, including smartphones and tablets. By harnessing the power of Unity3D, Imaginus delivers smooth gameplay and rich graphics, ensuring that players remain captivated and entertained, even when on the go.
The backend infrastructure of Imaginus is hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS), a leading Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS) provider. The core backend services are built with utilizing AWS Lambda for its scalability and cost-effectiveness.
As Imaginus is currently on POC stage, we are exploring various options and planning how to best leverage different APIs and protocols. Our primary choice is the Astar Network as our protocol. Astar stands out for its customizable, cross-blockchain solutions that are ideal for Web3 adoption. It combines Ethereum Layer 2 scaling with Substrate, EVM, WASM, and zkEVM technologies to deliver powerful, secure, and interoperable Web3 technology In line with our focus on NFTs, we plan to integrate APIs like Dew and Rarible for robust asset management and integration. Additionally, tools like LHava will be used for efficient market making. Collaborating with various NFT marketplaces is another key strategy to enhance the visibility and liquidity of our in-game assets. Astar's rich ecosystem provides an array of options to support these initiatives, aligning perfectly with the requirements of Imaginus.
In our game, we've made things super simple for everyone, whether you're used to newer web3 stuff or prefer the classic web2 way of playing games. We added a special switch that lets you choose how you want to play. If you like things straightforward, just like most online games, stick with the web2 mode. This way, you don't have to worry about any of the complex blockchain stuff and can just focus on enjoying the game. But if you're curious about using cool features like owning unique game items for real and having NFTs, you can switch to web3 mode anytime.
